Comprehensive financial solutions for children's future development and prevention of critical illnesses

73 per cent of deaths in Vietnam are caused by non-communicable diseases, mainly cancer, and heart disease while the treatment of these diseases is not only difficult, but also too expensive to a lot of patients in Vietnam, according to a recent survey of the Ministry of Health.

Another survey of 2,000 patients in three largest cancer treatment hospitals in Vietnam also showed 20 per cent of the patients that encountered the financial problem after one-year treatment. Nearly 34 per cent of patients cannot afford the drug fee; 24 per cent of patients cannot pay for gas, electricity and water; 21 per cent cannot pay travel expenses and up to 15.2 per cent cannot afford food.

A comprehensive protection solution is needed for preventing financial risk of critical illnesses, which facilitates the treatment and relieve the patient from financial burden.

Based on this forceful demand, Manulife has launched the product Manulife – Beautiful Life to provide financial support at the very first stage of the critical illnesses to the patients. This is a comprehensive solution to providecustomers the financial foundation to proactively deal with risks andovercome the adversity.

Short term premium, protection until age 99, coverage list up to 134 diseases are comprehensive strengths of Manulife – Beautiful Life, which provides total benefits up to 300 per cent of face amount.

In addition, customers will receive an additional 25 per cent face amount for critical illnesses of children and/or gender disease. For customers are still healthy at age of 75, a special cash benefit up to 100 per cent face amount will be paid as Manulife’s recognition for his/her healthy life style.

Moreover, the product allows enhancing the coverage through a selection of affordable and attractive optional riders, which provide diverse and comprehensive protection for customers against various risks, such as accidental death and dismemberment, critical illness, total and permanent disability and death, among others.

For parents, Manulife has another special gift named Manulife - Bright Future with a lot of benefits which are aimed to protect both mother-to-be and her baby during pregnancy against the risk of pregnancy complications, continuing to protect and secure the future of children as well. This product helps to secure the education fund equivalent to 150 per cent of the face amount at the end of the policy to support thechildren enjoy the advanced education.
