Ticket revenue jumps at Angkor temple park
Revenue from foreign ticket sales at Angkor Wat topped $75.7 million during the first nine months of 2017, a 70 percent increase compared with the same period one year earlier, according to a release by state-run Angkor Enterprise.
While most of the overall increase in revenue was the result of higher foreigner ticket prices that went into effect in February, the temple complex also saw a 12 percent increase in tourist traffic during the nine-month period, receiving 1.75 million foreign visitors between January and September.
