Desist letter filed against Poipet casino operator

Asian casino operator Donaco International has issued a “cease and desist” letter to a former Thai business partner that has continued to operate a gaming floor at the Star Paradise border casino in Poipet, a property that sits adjacent to the company’s flagship Star Vegas Resort and Club, gaming site GGR Asia reported yesterday.

The report stated that Donaco had not renewed its contract with the unnamed Thai business partner. “The [Donaco] management contract for Star Paradise has now expired, and no new management arrangements have been put in place,” the company said in a filing to the Australian Stock Exchange.

Donaco began operating Star Paradise in September 2016 with 40 gaming tables after acquiring it from the same unnamed Thai business partner.
