Quang Ninh’s exports increase by 5% in Q1

Total export turnover of the northern province of Quang Ninh hit US$461.3 million in the first four months of 2017, making up 28 per cent of the yearly plan.

 

According to the provincial Department of Planning and Investment, turnover was up 5.3 per cent from a year ago.

In April, the province earned $130 million from exports.

Coal exports brought home $59.7 million through the shipment of 455,000 tonnes.

Other export goods that witnessed an increase included cement, up 32 per cent; wolfram, 19.1 per cent; textiles, 14.4 per cent; and vegetable oil, 9.2 per cent.

Imports of local businesses were valued at $128.31 million in April, adding up to $496.4 million to total imports in the January-April period, down by 24 per cent compared with the same period last year.
