Fuel prices rise again

The Ministry of Industry and Commerc e has announced a fuel price increase across the country beginning yesterday February 17.

This is the second fuel price hike this year, with the first occurring on January 20.

In Vientiane the cost of premium grade petrol has increased from 8,820 kip per litre to 8,970 kip per litre, while regular petrol up from 7,820 kip per litre to 7,960 kip per litre, and diesel is now 6,370 kip per litre.

In Phongsaly province, the price of regular petrol has increased from 8,550 kip a litre to 8,720 kip per litre, and diesel is up f rom 7,590 kip a litre to 7,720 kip a litre

In Luang Namtha province, the price of regular petrol has increased from 8,180 kip to 8,320 kip a litre with diesel increasing from 7,220 kip to 7,320 kip a litre.

In Oudomxay province, the cost of regular petrol has increased from 8,270 kip to 8,440 kip a litre and diesel is up from 7,310 kip to 7,440 kip a litre.

In Bokeo province, the cost of premium grade petrol is now 9,070 kip increasing from 8,920 kip a litre, while regular petrol is 8,060 kip a litre up from 7,920 kip, and diesel 7,060 kip per litre up from 6, 960 kip.

In Luang Prabang province, the cost of premium grade petrol has increased to 9,430 kip per litre fr om 9, 280 kip, regular petrol is now 8,420 kip up from 8, 280 kip , and diesel has increased to 7,430 kip per litre from 7,320 kip.

In Xayaboury, the price of regular petrol has increased to 8,360 kip, while diesel has jumped to 7,370 kip per litre.

In Huaphan province, the price of regular petrol is now 8,370 kip a litre and diesel has jumped to 7,360 kip a litre.

In Xieng Khuang province, the price of regular petrol has increased to 8,160 kip with diesel now costing 7,150 kip a litre.

In Vientiane province, the pump price of premium grade petrol is now 8,970 kip a litre, while regular petrol is 7,960 kip per litre, and diesel is selling at 6,970 kip a litre.

In Borikhamxay province, the price of regular petrol has increased to 8,080 kip and diesel is now 7,090 kip a litre.

In Khammuan and Savannakhet provinces, the cost of a litre of premium grade petrol has jumped to 9,000 kip per litre, while regular petrol is now 7,990 kip, and diesel is 7,000 kip.

In Saravan province, regular petrol is now 8,170 kip per litre with diesel costs 7,180 kip.

In Champassak province, the price of premium is 9,030 kip per litre, regular petrol is 8,020 kip, and diesel 7,030 kip.

In Xekong, Attapeu, and Xaysomboun provinces, the price of regular petrol has increased to 8,200 kip a litre and diesel now costs 7,210 kip a litre.
