New Dhipaya Insurance Lao Managing Director predicts bright future

The new Managing Director of Dhipaya Insurance Lao Co., Ltd., Mr Pasin Prautphongs, will continue to manage the company's operations and strengthen the services provided for customers.

The main target will be the development of the company in the short and long term, Mr Pasin said when addressing a press conference in Vientiane last week to welcome the new Managing Director.

In the short term, the focus will be on human res ource development and improving the capacity of the organisation because human resources and products are important for improving service and boosting customer confidence, he explained.

The company also plans to open more branches and agencies around the country to facilitate ease of access to services and expand the market.

In the long term, Mr Pasin will try to build the company into the leading insurance company in Laos in terms of good governance, fairness, confidence and transparency.

The company currently has agencies in almost all provinces in Laos and will try to expand to every province this year.

Although the company faces competition in Laos, it will try to strengthen the organisation in the future through the provision of good service.

The company's main products are motor insurance, fire insurance, marine and transportation insurance, as well as miscellaneous insurance.

Lao people who purchase TIP AEC insurance from the company won't have to worry about insurance when they drive their car to go shopping or travelling in Thailand because the company has a call centre to provide 24 hour service.

Those who buy life insurance from the company can also get health treatment in Thailand where there are hospitals that partner with the company without requiring cash payment.

Dhipaya became the first insurance company from Thailand to operate in Laos in 2014. Its head office is located on the 5th floor of the Kolao (Alounmai) Building on 23 Singha Road in Nongbone village, Xaysettha district, Vientiane.

Over the last three years in Laos the company has paid particular attention to expanding services and developing products to access all customers, Mr Pasin said.

The company will try to contribute to the socio-economic development of Laos as well as create job opportunities and assist society.
