VAIVAI Taxi services open in Laos

KIWI Company is introducing a new application to provide a taxi service through VAIVAI Taxi after the company successfully launched the Mydelivery.la service in Laos.

Similar services have been provided through UBER/GRAB TAXI/ DID TAXI in other countries, where they have proved popular and successful, and company staff told a press conference in Vientiane last week.

VAIVAI Taxi will soon be made available by loading the company's App www.vaivai.la/app/ or mobile App store (IOS), Play store (Android).

A special function of VAVAI Taxi is that customers can get a negotiated price before they decide to use the service and customers can pay by cash or credit card.

The service will focus on airports, tourist attractions, hotels, restaurants and important sites around the country.

Through the service, customers can choose a taxi, tuk-tuk, van or motorbike.

Customers and drivers can both use the service through a laptop or smartphone systems IOS and Android.

Customers can load the application now and free of charge but the service may only be available at certain times because the company is consulting with taxi, tuk-tuk, van and motorbike associations around the country to set up the system, which will take some time.

The company believes the service will make things easier, safer and faster for travellers who don't know where places are located and do not speak Lao.

KIWI is pairing up with Alibaba to develop an E-commerce system in Laos, with both companies aiming to develop and improve the use of E-commerce applications.

KIWI is the first company in Laos that Alibaba is doing business with and is officially a member.

KIWI's first E-commerce success in Laos was set up in 2015 under Mydelivery.la, which is popular in Vientiane.

The mode of service is food delivery through an online system, which involves more than 200 popular restaurants in Vientiane.

The service is available every day from 7am to 10pm and takes 45 minutes.
