Boonchai Boonyanurak: CEO of the Year 2016

Be patient and keep walking on your path. One day, you will reach your goal.'

This is not a quote but a personal belief of Boonchai Boonyanurak, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Dhipaya Insurance Laos, who never stops exploring ways to manage his organisation more effectively to meet regional and national standards.

Boonchai, with exceptional knowledge, skills and capacity, has become a well respected leader within the company and was voted by his oganisation recently to be the CEO of the Year 2016.

This position was awarded to Boonchai in recognition of his tireless efforts and achievements in working closely with the staff to develop the company and support social development programmes in Laos since the middle of 2015.

As for his background, Thammasat University in Thailand is where Boonchai received his Bachelor's degree. Afterwards, he completed a master's degree in Development Administration at Western Michigan University, USA, in 1985.

Upon his return, Boonchai started working with the Chairman of Ocean Group  one of the largest corporations in Thailand. There, he learned and enjoyed working, finally becoming the young executive of the company.

Having succeeded in business, Boonchai has became a freelance artist guided by his dream, studied teaching and trained himself year after year until he found his true calling.

Boonchai has built a strong reputation as an artist in Thailand. He held various performances, especially Frenziedly inspired by Van Gogh'- his most successful reflective performance. Dedicated to all devotees to his artwork, he believes that a human being can be everything he or she wants to be.

In 2015, embarking on a new life-changing journey, Boonchai decided to cross the Mekong River to work in Laos with Dhipaya Insurance Laos as the CEO.

Working in Laos, Boonchai has brought his knowledge and experience in his country and overseas to advance and strengthen his organisation as the best insurance company for Laos people from all walks of life, eventually gaining their trust.

The company considers insurance and life insurance as important components of human development and sustainable development of Laos.

The path to success is fast, it's not far away and it's never accidental, says Boonchai.

Boonchai always says, Business is no different from art if we commit our hearts and minds to it. Success won't be far away.

Running businesses is like creating art. If we are dedicated to do it, we will finally succeed.

Boonchai's leadership, which has seen outstanding performance in Asean including Laos, has established and reinforced his position in the international business arena for the past one year and a half. He was also selected by the Asean-Thailand Business Council as one of the outstanding business leaders and given to the Asean Award 2016.

Investing in any businesses is like fighting in a war. We either win or lose, and we can choose to fight or to die, adds Boonchai.
