New HOSE Chairman appointed

Deputy Minister of Finance Tran Xuan Ha appointed Tran Van Dung, general director of Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange (HOSE) as HOSE's new Chairman of the Board of Directors as of November 1, 2016.

Dung was assigned to the Chairmanship of HOSE on March 1, 2016 by the Minister of Finance. Dung held posts at the State Bank of Viet Nam, the State Security Commission of Vietnam and Hanoi Stock Exchange (HNX).

In particular, Dung and his partners laid the foundation for securities, including government bonds and the stock exchange, the unlisted public company market (UPCoM), and the derivatives market in Viet Nam. He is one of the few people responsible for the foundation and managment of the HNX since its inception.

Besides Dung, Deputy Minister Ha also appointed Le Hai Tra, HOSE's member of the Board of Directors and deputy managing director as head of HOSE's governing body on November 1.

Tran Van Dung is set to replace HOSE former Chairman Tran Dac Sinh who has just retired.
