RoK is largest investor in Binh Phuoc

The Republic of Korea (RoK) is the largest investor in the southern Binh Phuoc Province.

Chairman of the provincial peoples committee Nguyen Van Tram said this at a working session between the committee and a delegation of the Korea Chamber of Industry and Commerce (Kocham), led by RoK Consul General to HCM City Park No-wan, in Binh Phuoc on August 1.

Tram said Binh Phuoc had attracted 81 RoK projects with a total registered capital of US$500 million.

The province would continue to protect Korean firms and investors in the locality, he said.

During the working session, Park said he would help create favourable conditions for Korean investors to study the business environment of Binh Phuoc.

He said more seminars and dialogues should be held to offer the two countries enterprises opportunities to seek partners and promote business co-operation among them.

On the occasion, the RoK delegation gave VND200 million (US$9,000) as aid for local residents following the recent drought.
