Prudential Finance receives Excellent Performance Award from Vietnam cbank

Prudential Vietnam Finance Company (Prudential Finance) has received the “Excellent Performance” 2015 Award presented by the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) for the second straight year.

After winning the award for 2014 last year, Prudential Finance is the first consumer finance company in Vietnam to receive the “Excellent Performance” Award for two consecutive years.

The award by SBV is given in recognition of the company’s excellent performance in business, risk management, personnel development and technology applied in business and corporate management.

Mr. Sanjay Chakrabarty, Chief Executive Officer of Prudential Finance, said the consumer finance market has experienced robust growth over recent years thanks to efforts made by finance companies to meet the demands of individuals and families.

“However, it’s imperative for finance companies to adopt good risk management practices during market expansion, and ensure the safety of the entire financial and banking system in Vietnam,” Mr. Chakrabarty said. “At Prudential Finance, we set risk management in credit notarization as a top priority and strictly comply with Vietnamese regulations on the structure and level of risk management.”

According to Sanjay, Prudential Finance focuses on developing professional and responsible work teams who are passionate about consumers.

“The recognition of excellent performance in the financial sector for two consecutive years by the SBV is evidence of our efforts and achievements in implementing our long-term commitments to Vietnamese banking customers. Through helping Vietnamese people improve their standard of living as well as investing in activities for the community’s benefit, we are realizing our ambition of bringing about the best possible added values for the local residents.”

Over recent years, Sanjay said that the company’s total mobilized capital has experienced stable growth, accounting for 75 percent of the company’s total asset base.

The company’s outstanding loan amount increased by 24.15 percent, from VND3,350 billion in 2014 to 4,159 billion in 2015.

By the end of 2015, Prudential Finance had received more than 780,000 loan applications, with nearly half approved and disbursed to a value of VND13,000 billion.

This July, the company launched an incentivized mortgage product for customers who need to take loans to purchase or repair homes as well as buy other necessities.

The commitment by Prudential Finance to become a leading business in the consumer finance sector in Vietnam has been recognized with several awards presented to the company in recent years.

Besides the “Excellent Performance” Award in 2014 and 2015 by its management body SBV, the company’s CEO has also received a Certificate of Merit thanks to his best practice employment conditions by the People's Committee of District 1, Ho Chi Minh City and the “Best Finance Company - Customers’ Choice in 2015” Award, co-organized by the Vietnam Banks’ Association and International Data Group IDG in 2015.

Prudential Finance - a member of Prudential plc. (United Kingdom) - has long pioneered customized financial consultancy and loan programs to different customer segments.

With a nationwide business network, the company has the capacity to serve customers using flexible financial solutions, enabling people to fulfill their dreams and improve their standard of living.
