Microsoft Dynamics AX: A comprehensive solution for the apparel and textile industry

Votiva (Vietnam), Microsoft (US) and Porini (Italy) have invited the Vietnamese textile and garment industry to join them to a dedicated event taking place today at the Lotte Legend Hotel Saigon.

This event has the purpose to expose the top level executives from the leading Vietnamese companies in this booming industry to a comprehensive and advanced software solution that Microsoft and Porini offer to the market, with the cooperation of their local partner, Votiva Vietnam.

The solution is called Apparel & Textile (A&T) for Microsoft Dynamics AX and conjugates the power on an international enterprise level ERP (Microsoft Dynamics AX) with the knowledge, competence, and best practices of a “Made in Italy” vertical software developed by Porini, and certified for Microsoft Dynamics.

Global competition, increasing supply chains and ongoing company mergers and acquisitions are a key challenge for Apparel and Textile industries that must meet the requirements of demanding clients, bring products to the market quicker and quicker and achieve profitability.

However, these businesses are often struggling with fragmented information systems that are not able to manage the required number of item variants; and visibility in managing operations.

With robust, industry-specific functionality and tight integration with other Microsoft products, Apparel and Textile for Microsoft Dynamics AX is a comprehensive and scalable business software solution that fully meets the continuously changing requirements of the textile, apparel, fashion, footwear and accessories industry and enables to work across the whole supply chain in the most effective and efficient way.

It provides a high degree of scalability and readily adapts to corporate needs and changing corporate structure. Support for multiple languages and currencies will help companies operate smoothly across geographies.

Presentations of success stories from different countries are planned and will be explained how notorious companies have been able to increase their efficiency and profitability.

The product presentation showcases the main features of the solution: from product master data to warehouse and deliveries, in the complex supply chain from fibers to finished garments.

“Through dialog between Votiva and in depth analysis with the leaders of Vietnam Textile and Apparel Association over the last few months, we have realised that most of the organisations especially the Vietnamese companies are facing with the difficulties and challenges with monitoring and managing their business operations. Votiva has decided to organise this in-depth solution seminar to address those concerns together with Microsoft and its certified global solution development partner Porini from Italy,” said Dinh Tien Dung, general director, Votiva Vietnam.

“During the event, we have the chance to introduce the Microsoft Dynamics ERP solution that manages the daily operations and also help to increase the competitiveness in this economic globalisation situation specially with the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) coming into effect in the near future,” he added.
