Champa IT eyes after-sales service and technician training

Champa Enterprise, commonly known as Champa IT, is a private enterprise based in the capital selling a wide range of IT related devices and offering tailored IT solutions.

Currently the company plans to focus on after-sales service as a priority after receiving positive feedback from customers.

Managing Director of Champa Enterprise Ms Vina Yommalath spoke to Vientiane Times yesterday during a ceremony for its ‘Summer Sale' promotional event.

“I recognised that after-sales service is a key factor for operating businesses in the area of IT solutions because we do not only sell hardware to our buyers but we also take good care of our customers as well.”

This promotion will offer customers with special discounts and gifts from the shop until June 25.

Ms Vina explained that currently Vientiane has quite similar services in IT and that many shops sell almost the same IT devices but Champa IT wants to provide much better service, especially in relation to after-sales services.

“We also want to prioritise human resource development, meaning that our supporting teams, sales and marketing staffers must attend regular training courses on IT specialisation to make sure their skills are properly upgraded,” Ms Vina said.

Once business operations become more integrated with other Asean countries, technical specialisation in the area of IT solutions and services shall need to be updated and advanced.

“Currently Champa IT has a total of 19 employees including 12 supporting technicians who are ready to provide after-sales service and most importantly, they are Lao people who are well-trained in specialised skills domestically and abroad,” she said. Most technicians underwent training overseas twice a year to upgrade their skills and catch up with the advances of new technologies.

In the future, Champa IT also expects to invite some foreign specialists to conduct a training course for its supporting technicians to make sure the provision of IT solutions and after-sales service is strengthened.

According to Ms Vina, Champa IT was opened as an IT hardware store more than three years ago but many of its specialists have more than 10 years experience working in the IT sector.

The majority of customers of Champa IT are individuals, banks and ministry offices as well as companies in Vientiane.

“Each year, the number of our customers increases 30 percent to 50 percent annually due to our excellent after-sales services. It is because of our after-sales services and we are now set to build even more confidence among our customers,” she said.

Ms Vina noted that Champa IT is now on the right track to offer better after-sales services and provide its customers with genuine products.

“If our clients have problems with software or hardware they bought from us we will provide them with new ones promptly to make sure their organisations or banking systems are working regularly,” she added.

Champa IT store is located on Dongpaina Road in Saphanthong Neua village, Sisattanak district, Vientiane.
