Both bourses end lower this morning

Vietnamese shares ended lower on both local bourses this morning.

 

The benchmark VN Index on the HCM Stock Exchange lost 0.23 per cent to close at 602.46 points.

After recording gains yesterday, dairy firm Vinamilk (VNM) maintained a preference price of VND144,000 per share. Shares of Vingroup (VIC), Masan Group (MSN), Bao Viet Group (BVH) and Vietcombank (VCB) suffered the same fate.

On the HoSE, shares of the two realty companies FLC Group (FLC) and Hoang Quan Group (HQC) led in transaction volume. Six million shares of FLC were traded, while HQC saw some 3 million shares being transacted.

Shares of the Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam (BID) also saw more than 2 per cent gain. The bank had nearly three million shares transacted this morning.

The southern bourse recorded a trading value of VND1.4 trillion with 57 gainers and 139 losers. The price of 67 codes remained unchanged.

The HNX Index on the Ha Noi Stock Exchange declined 0.51 per cent to end at 79.99 points with 51 gainers, including PGS, AAA, VNR and PHP, and 113 losers. The northern bourse recorded trading of 21.7 million shares worth VND246.4 billion in value.
