Furniture, houseware expo opens in HCM City

Nearly 100 exhibitors are displaying their products at the Viet Nam Furniture and Houseware Fair 2015 that opened on December 26 at the Tan Binh Exhibition and Convention Centre in HCM City.

It features more than 200 booths showcasing wooden products, handicrafts, interior decoration items, and household equipment like kitchen utensils, lighting equipment and more.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Pham Ngoc Hung, deputy chairman of the HCM City Union of Business Associations, said, "The fair will provide a good platform for businesses involved in wooden products, handicrafts, interior decoration and household utensils industries to exchange information and seek business opportunities as well as market their products."

The event would also provide a good chance for people in the city and neighbouring provinces to buy interior furnishing items to renovate their homes to welcome Tet, he said.

According to the organisers Dong Nam Advertising and Commercial Promotion JSC and HUBA, exhibitors will offer promotions as well as consultancy on new products.

The expo will run until December 30.
