Viet Nam's most favourite brand names honoured

The awards for Viet Nam's most favourite brands were conferred on 34 businesses across several industries at a ceremony held in HCM City on December 26.

This year's winners include Sai Gon Co-op, Big C, Saigontourist, Vietnam Airlines, LYS Travel, and Viet A Bank, with many of them winning the honour for a straight decade to be conferred the "Golden brand name" title.

The latter include Sai Gon Co-op, Saigontourist, Ben Thanh Tourist, Fiditour, and Vinasun.

Organised by Sai Gon Giai Phong newspaper since 2006, the winners are chosen by customers' votes, with this year around 1,000 readers and consumers casting theirs.

The award is aimed at encouraging companies to develop high-quality brands and enhance the competitiveness of Vietnamese goods in both domestic and foreign markets, especially amid the country's increasing integration.
