HHL opens new headquarters in Vientiane

The Hung Huang (Lao) Logistics Co, Ltd (HHL) have officially launched their new office headquarters in order to respond to the growth of the company's business and socio-economic development.

The grand opening ceremony was held last week at its new headquarters in located Khounta-Tha village, Sikhottabong district, Vientiane.

It was attended by Deputy Minister of Planning and Investment, Dr Kikeo Chanthabouly and the Ministry of Public Works and Transportation's Office Head, Dr Santisouk Simmalavong along with representatives from the government and private sector business partners, both domestic and international.

Hung Hua ng Logistics Co, Ltd was established in 2004, and since then the logistics services business has continued to expand and is creating confidence for domestic and foreign customers, Mrs Khatthachanh Chanthaboury said at the ceremony.

The company was formerly known as Hung Huang Service Co., Ltd and changed to Hung Huang (Lao) Logistics Co., Ltd in 2007, she said.

From 2008-2011, it was responsible for project handing (brokerage and transportation) for hydropower dams, roads and bridge construction, Wattay International Airport Terminal expansion, ASEM Village construction and other projects, said Mrs Khatthachanh.

In 2013, the company was appointed as a cargo sales agent by Bangkok Airways, Air Asia , and Vietnam Airlines respectively.

In 2014 it is was appointed by L-JATS to solely operate the new cargo terminal at the Wattay International Airport and in 2015 started a full range of international freight forwarding business to offer international transportation to or from Laos worldwide.

HHL offers total logistics solutions through every link of the supply chain such as air, ocean, land transport, third party logistics, brokerage, packing, international transport, warehousing and distribution.

Responsive to client demands, HHL has reliable overseas agents located in more than 100 cities in five countries around the world to serve the global marketplace.

Moreover, the company communicates daily with its affiliates though an efficient e-mail system, which will ensure that all logistics activities are well taken care of.

HHL is one of the Lao private companies which has progressed well in its business operation, Dr Kikeo said, expressing his admiration for the company's growth.

The growth of the company has contributed to socio-economic development and it has been paying its tax obligations to the government, he said.

The company offers services that are equal with international standards, especially in regards to safety, speedy delivery and reasonable prices, said Dr Kikeo.

He hoped that the success of the company and their considerable experience would bring considerable benefits after the country integrates with the Asean Economic Community.

Despite the fact that Laos is a land locked country it is also becoming a central link between the other countries in the region for trading promotion, said Dr Santisouk.

The logistics sector offers important services to supply transportation and fac ilitate development and investment projects in Laos and overseas.
