Shares extend rally, supported by property stocks

Shares continued to rally this morning, propped up by real estate companies again.

 

On the HCM Stock Exchange, the VN-Index added another 0.55 per cent to close at 589.99 points.

Realty stocks continued to be the most heavily traded this morning.

Four of the top five most-active stocks were real estate companies, such as FLC Group (FLC), Hoang Anh Gia Lai Co (HAG), Tan Tao Investment and Industry Corp (ITA) and Hoang Quan Consulting-Trading-Service Real Estate Co (HQC).

FLC and HAG were leading with more than seven million of their shares being traded each.

They also added between 1.4 and five per cent.

The overall liquidity remained positive with 80.3 million shares, worth VND1.23 trillion (US$54.7 million), being exchanged.

On the Ha Noi Stock Exchange, the HNX-Index rose 0.54 per cent to end at 80.88 points.

More than 32 million shares, worth VND336.6 billion ($15 million), were traded here.

Sai Gon Thuong Tin Real Estate Co (SCR), a property stock, was the most active here, with more than five million of its shares being exchanged, but its price fell 1.2 per cent to stand at VND8,300 per share.

The afternoon session will start at 1pm.
