The central province of Thua Thien-Hue has signed a strategic co-operation agreement with the Bitexco Group.

Under the agreement, signed on October 12, Bitexco will mobilise maximum resources to implement investment projects in the province in a timely manner. It will also lead other investors to join development projects in the province.

Specifically, Bitexco will carry out projects on tourism infrastructure development meeting international standards and develop high-quality tourism products to draw more tourists to the province.

Major projects include US$8.5 million Aman resort, $13.5 million My An hot mineral water and a project to build an international hotel-cum-resort complex estimated to cost between $30 million and $50 million to make Hue an attractive Meeting, Incentive, Convention and Exhibition (MICE) destination of the region.

Bitexco will also join hands with leading travel agents around the world to bring tourists to the province and support the province in promoting its tourism potential to the global market.

The group will help the province in other fields such as hydro-electric and safe water projects and urban and industrial zone planning.
