TH Group introduces new products at WorldFood Moscow 2015

TH Food Chain Joint Stock Company under TH Group, which owns the well-known TH True MILK brand name, attended the WorldFood Moscow 2015 during September 14-17, in Moscow’s Expocentre Fairgrounds.

This international-level event showcases products which cover all the sectors of the food and beverage industry. For the convenience of the exhibitors and visitors, the exhibition is divided into 11 specialised sectors, namely Meat and Poultry, Fish and Seafood, Fruit and Vegetables, Confectionery and Bakery, Groceries, Oils, Fats and Sauces, Frozen Products, Dairy, Tea and Coffee, and Drinks.

The event was home to nearly 700 exhibitors from 69 nations throughout the world.

TH Group’s participation in the WorldFood Moscow 2015 is aimed to promote its fresh and clean milk products made from its own dairy cows and materials. The products contain nutritious substances, such as TH school MILK (topKid, top teen); TH true MILK Collagen to leverage on fact of ASEAN Best Foods Award.

Notably, at the event, the group has introduced its products into the exhibition’s Tasting Contest and New Product Showcase awards.

With a goal to further increase people’s brainpower and physical strength, and swell production and business, TH Group seeks to co-operate and ink contracts with all partners to export its milk products into Russia and other European and Asian markets.

In July 2015, the group introduced its plan to invest more than US $1 billion into building a concentrated dairy cow and fresh milk production project in the suburb of Russia, in a three stages running to 2025.

Specifically, the 2015-2016 first stage is expected to be focused on constructing three clusters of dairy farms, and a fresh milk processing mill having a daily capacity of 800 tonnes. This stage will likely have 50,000 cows, of which 21,600 will be milked.

The second stage, from 2017-2019, will see the construction of another six clusters of dairy farms and another fresh milk processing mill having a daily capacity of 1,700 tonnes. This stage will likely have 100,000 dairy cows, with 43,200 milked.

TH Group will build the third stage from 2020-2025, including another 12 clusters of farms and another mega fresh milk processing mill. This stage will have 200,000 cows including 86,400 milked.

The mega fresh milk processing mill will cover 1,000ha including office buildings, warehouses, workers’ hostel, a sport area and a commercial display area.

Thai Huong, chairwoman of TH Group, said that this colossal project had been given the thumbs-up by Russia’s government and relevant agencies. The group’s participation in the WorldFood Moscow 2015 was also aimed to contribute to the enhancement of Vietnam’s fresh industry in the international market.

On the opening day, the group’s booth was visited Vietnamese Ambassador to Russia Nguyen Thanh Son and Moscow’s vice mayor Denis Butsaev, and reporters from Russian and foreign media agencies as well.

Butsaev highly commended the opportunity to work with TH Group, affirming that the project was extremely important to Moscow’s agricultural development. He hoped that the group would bring state-of-the-art technology to this land, and the project will contribute to the area’s socio-economic development. He affirmed that Moscow to create all best conditions to this project.

Ambassador Nguyen Thanh Son also said that this project was significant to Russia, which is now suffering from an embargo by the US and European nations. He affirmed that this project would be a big bridge connecting the two nations’ friendship and that it would be implemented successfully.

At the booth, the group’s fresh milk products were tasted by visitors who then showed their big interest, wanting them to be marketed on a large scale in Russia.

At the exhibition, many Russian enterprises had worked with the group, expecting that TH true MILK-branded products would be soon marketed in Russia in 2016.

In Vietnam, which is less favourable in soil and climate conditions for developing dairy cows and processing fresh milk, TH Group has made a gigantic breakthrough via the successful construction of a $1.2 billion dairy cow and fresh milk production project in the central province of Nghe An’s Nghia Dan district.

In May this year, the Asian Record Organisation officially recognised this project as “The largest concentrated hi-tech applied dairy farm complex in Asia”.

Employing 1.300 local workers and backed by financial and investment consultant is BAC A BANK, the project currently has 45,000 dairy cows, of which over 22,000 are milked. Each cow can offer 40 littres of milk per day.

It is expected that the number of the cattle will be about 137,000 by 2017 nearly 203,000 by 2020.

Under its development plan, the group will develop its footprint to 37,000 hectares by 2020, up from the current 8,100ha.

Before the project is implemented, 92 per cent of Vietnam’s milk was imported from abroad. Now this figure stands at 72 per cent thanks to TH’s contribution.

TH Group is now operating three joint stock companies including TH Milk Food, TH Milk and TH Food Chain, with 29 milk products.
