Schneider Electric announces entry into Laos

Schneider Electric, a global leader in Energy Management and Automation, has announced its entry into the Lao market. The France-based company promises to bring to the Lao market Energy Management and Automation solutions through its range of international-quality products and services.

“In Laos, we believe the country continues to expand the energy infrastructure in order to provide affordable, reliable and sustainable electricity supply to promote socio-economic development. This is where Schneider Electric is able to contribute its expertise and bring out best in class solution for Laos,” said Mr Tommy Leong, East Asia Zone President of Schneider Electric at the opening ceremony of the company held in Vientiane on August 4.

Aside from its products and services that will be brought into the local market, Schneider Electric has also announced its commitment in helping the country's growth through skills training, localised solutions, and in helping rural areas to gain access to energy.

“Our fundamental approach in Laos is to develop local talent and partnerships with local companies and stakeholders for mutual success and growth,” Mr Mai Lam Dong, Country President, Schneider Electric Laos, said during his speech.

Schneider Electric has already appointed official distributors, panel builders, and system integrators delivering products and added value services all over the country.

Mr Mai Lam Dong said “Our first priority is to create and reinforce partnerships, to make known Schneider Electric's world-class Energy Management and Automation expertise and technologies. We are here to bring our products, equipment and solutions directly to customers, with local support, services, and warranty. We are particularly interested in helping the country to improve electrical safety, reliability, power quality and energy efficiency.”

Schneider Electric Laos has already undertaken several projects in Mining, Power Generation, F&B, Banking segments, etc.
