First Microsoft Authorized Reseller Store launched in Vietnam

Microsoft Mobile Vietnam today unveiled its new flagship consumer store in Hanoi which was re-branded from Nokia. Further to the acquisition of the Nokia’s phone business this is the major retail brand initiative undertaken by Microsoft in Vietnam.

The store will offer an assortment of best-in-class Microsoft products, including Windows Phones (Lumia), Feature Phones, as well as Microsoft software products like Office 365 and more.

Apart from these the store will provide laptops and tablets from Microsoft OEM partners. It will also have Live Experience Table to showcase how users can enjoy seamless integration across multiple screens through Microsoft’s devices, apps and services.

The Microsoft Store was designed to create an aesthetic feel aligned with its core brand values. Taking into account the practicalities, device security, material considerations and design fixtures, the store was created to provide a warm and friendly environment.

Using a harmonious mix of materials and colors, robust enough to stand the rigors of physical retail, the Microsoft store provides a bold and rich retail customer experience. This first Authorized Reseller store in Hanoi is run by valued partner of Microsoft in Vietnam, FPT Corporation

According to Vinod Muralidharan, chief representative of Microsoft Mobile in Vietnam, Vietnam is a key focus market for the phone business. Microsoft has made significant investments in the brand change from Nokia to Microsoft and the new re-branded store is a first step in that direction.

“The Hanoi store has been a symbol of trust with the Vietnamese consumers for many years and now with Microsoft we plan to continue the story. Microsoft is investing in re-branding hundreds of retail stores in Vietnam in the coming weeks as a commitment to Vietnamese consumers and partners,” said Muralidharan.

“The Lumia products are now manufactured by Microsoft and carry the same quality assurance as before. The feature phones continue to be produced by Microsoft under the Nokia brand,” he added.

Vu Minh Tri, general director, Microsoft Vietnam said, “Today’s launch and continued partnership with FPT will enable more personal computing with Microsoft Lumia and cloud services like Office 365. And our Windows 10 is an exciting launch that brings one experience across all devices; phones, tablets, PCs, HoloLens, and Internet of Things devices. Today’s partnership sets a great foundation for what we will be bringing to market with Windows 10 in a few short weeks.”

CEO for FPT, Bui Quang Ngoc shared his excitement, “FPT is excited about our continued partnership with Microsoft as we grow together through this retail store. We are also a strong Microsoft partner in our commercial partnership cloud offerings across Office 365, Microsoft Azure, and CRM Online and we look forward to this partnership growing over the coming years.”
