Gas price up VND125 per kilogramme from today

The gas price will be increased by VND125 (0.5 US cent) per kilogramme or VND1,500 per ($0.7) twelve kilogramme gas tank from today, gas distributors and stores in HCM City and other southern provinces, said.

 

Do Trung Thanh, the Deputy Head of Sai Gon Petro's Sales Department, said the domestic gas price had increased as the global average gas price in May rose by $5 per tonne to $470 per tonne, compared with the price in April.

The new gas price has been updated for consumers and gas storehouses in the South and will be applicable from 7.30a.m. today.

The retail gas price for consumers in the South will fluctuate between VND305,000 and VND310,000 per twelve-kilogramme gas tank ($14.3 to 14.5).
