Int'l exhibition on cosmetics, wellness products opens in HCM City

Cosmobeate Vietnam 2015, the biggest beauty trade exhibition in the Indochina region, opened on April 9 in HCM City, gathering leading brands, products, technologies and services in the cosmetics, beauty, hair and spa industries.

Held at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Centre, the eighth annual exhibition features 200 booths of 150 exhibitors from 15 countries and territories, including the US, Italy, Hungary, Singapore, Taiwan, Korea, and Viet Nam.

Apart from beauty workshops, programmes such as hair and make-up shows and other live demonstrations will be held.

CP Saw, managing director of ECMI ITE Asia Sdn Bhd, one of the event's organisers, said: "We wish to facilitate the local beauty and spa industry with updated beauty knowledge, the latest products and services, and advanced technologies through various programmes happening throughout the three-day show."

Phan Thi Thanh Minh, head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade in the south, said beauty had become more important for Vietnamese as the quality of life had improved and that the domestic beauty industry had great opportunities to develop.

The annual Cosmobeaute exhibition has become a trusted platform for exhibitors and visitors to receive the latest knowledge, share experiences and find business development opportunities, she said.

Co-organised by ECMI ITE Asia Sdn Bhd and the Minh Vi Exhibition and Advertisement Services Co., the exhibition will run until April 11 and is expected to welcome 10,000 visitors.
