Petrol price rises by VND1,600

The domestic retail prices of oil and petroleum went up at 3pm today in the wake of increasing global fuel prices.

Following a joint decision issued by the Ministries of Industry and Trade and Finance, petrol and oil retailers increased the prices of RON 92 and RON 95 gasoline by over VND1,600 to VND17,286 (US$0.8) per litre.

The price of diesel oil rose by VND700 per litre, while that of kerosene and mazut all went up by VND900 per litre.

This is the first increase in petrol price after 17 price adjustments over the past six months, where the price was maintained in two instances and cut in 15 instances.
