Lao Minister of Posts and Telecommunications visits Huawei Hall on MWC 2015

Innovative information and communications technology (ICT) solutions of China technology giant, Huawei were showcased and drew great attention at the 2015 Mobile World Congress (MWC 2015) held in Barcelona, Spain.

The annual international telecommunication industry event was held on March 2-5.

A Lao delegation led by Minister of Posts and Telecommunications, Mr Hiem Phommachanh was among the guests visiting the Huawei Hall during the event. Lao Deputy Minister of Posts and Telecommunications, Mr Thansamay Kommasith was among the delegates admiring the Huawei technologies.

Huawei demonstrated a range of innovative ICT solutions and shared how it is helping operators build an ubiquitous, ocean—like ultra Mobile Broad Band (MBB) network and to achieve digital transformation and offer digital services to individuals, families and industry customers by building an open digital ecosystem, aggregating global content and applications, and developing resources.

During the visit at the Huawei Hall, Mr Hiem and Mr Thansamay had a conversation with Mr Li Jinge, senior vice president of Huawei. Mr Li Jinge expressed his gratitude to Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications of Laos for helping and supporting Huawei to carry on the business in Laos.

The ministry's support has indicated that Huawei will continuously make a contribution to Lao ICT industry development.

Mr Hiem highly praised that Huawei is a leading global ICT solutions provider, and impressed with this visit in Huawei Hall and wished Huawei grows rapidly, and to enhance strategic cooperation with the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications, telecom operators and related government departments in Laos in order to make a larger contribution to Lao ICT development.

During the four-day MWC 2015, more than 2,000 companies demonstrated their latest products, technologies and solutions, which attracted global media and industry analysts to attend the event.

As a leading global ICT solutions provider, Huawei shared its vision for the ICT industry. “Open ROADS to a Better Connected World at Mobile World Congress 2015 in Barcelona, and indicated that “The telecom industry needs rapidly move towards an open digital ecosystem. Huawei is committed to collaborating with customers and industry partners to build an enhanced, fully connected world.”

Huawei was awarded “Best Mobile Infrastructure” prize for its innovative indoor mobile broadband solution-LampSite on the event of MWC 20l5. Meanwhile, Huawei unveiled a series of wearable devices including the Huawei Watch, TalkBand B2, and TalkBand N1. The wearable device announcement showcased Huawei's commitment to inspiring creativity and creating products that will enhance the consumer's ecosystem.
