JDB opens service units in Huaphan, Xieng Khuang
The Joint Development Bank (JDB) is continuing to branch out, opening new service units in Xamneua district, Huaphan province and Phonesavan town, Xieng Khuang province.
The new service units are part of JDB's strategy to expand its operations and extend fast, efficient and reliable financial services to customers in northern provinces.
The two official opening ceremonies were attended by Huaphan provincial Governor Dr Khamhoung Heuangvongsy , Deputy Xieng Khuang provincial Governor Dr Seumsouk Simphavong and Director of the Joint Development Bank Mr Sounthorn Chanthavong.
Both ceremonies were attended by representatives of local businesspeople.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr Sounthorn said the bank has seen success grow from its existing facilities.
He expressed strong support by both the state and private sectors and the trust of the public which holds the bank in high esteem.
He said the new service units were part of the bank's strategy to offer its clients better services and greater convenience.
While the bank continues to expand its service units its Head Office continues to be in Vientiane.
It also has service units in Luang Prabang, Vangvieng, Pakxe, Thakhaek, Savannakhet and Pakxan in Borikhamxay province, Tonpheung and Houyxai in Bokeo province, Luang Namtha province, Xeno, and booths at Savan Vegas in Savannakhet, Xayaboury, Oudomxay, Dongdok, Xangkhou, Nongniew and the two latest units in Huaphan and Xieng Khuang.
The bank also plans to further expand its services soon to the southern provinces of Xekong and Attapeu.
The bank will continue to have experienced staff supply financial services for businesspeople both at home and overseas through reliable, convenient and trustworthy banking services.
During the official opening ceremony in Huaphan, the bank presented 55 million kip to support the purchase of medical equipment for dispensaries in remote areas of the province.
At the Xieng Khuang launch President of the JDB Management Board Mr Ekkaphan Phaphithak presented 57.1 million kip which, combined with donations from other companies, provided total funding of 176.1 million kip for school construction in the province's remote areas.
The bank also offered lucky draw prizes valued at 53 million kip at each of the official launch parties for the two new units to thank its customers.
