S Korean enterprise to open in Ha Nam

Korean-invested KMW Vina Co Ltd was granted an investment license on Thursday in the northern province of Ha Nam.

Located at Dong Van 1 Industrial Park, the US$100 million factory covers over 30 ha and manufactures telecommunications, radio engineering and lighting equipment.

The company expects to produce 220,000 telecommunications and radio engineering devices and 380,0000 pieces of LED lighting equipment per year and create jobs for 5,000 workers.

The factory will be put into operation by the end of 2015.

Ha Nam is home to 125 foreign direct investment (FDI) enterprises from 10 countries and territories. In 2014, the province attracted 35 FDI projects with up to $300 million in investment capital.
