Huawei opens 2nd brand store in Vientiane

The Huawei telecommunications company of China has opened its second brand shop in Vientiane, located in Khounta village, Sikhottabong district, aiming to provide telecoms sales and service to more of the capital's residents.

“Huawei has been in Laos for 15 years and made great achievements. Now our employees are more than 100 and revenue is increasing every year,” Huawei CEO, Mr Zhang Dongya said at the grand opening ceremony.

During last year, Huawei Device Laos had built up about 200 partner shops including three brand shops while revenue reached US$10 million.

“In this New Year, we are plan ning to increase to more than 300 partner shops and double revenue to US$20 million, that is to say we will sell about 100,000 phones on the Lao market, said Mr Dongya.

“We hope that more and more Lao people will start to use our services and Huawei believes that we will enrich Lao people's life though communications,” he added.

Huawei is a leading global ICT solutions provider, through its dedication to customer- centric innovation and strong partnerships.

“We have established end to end capabilities and strengths across the carrier networks, in the enterprise, consumer and computing fields,” Mr Dongya said.

“Our products and solutions have been deployed in over 170 countries and regions, serving more than one third of the world's population,” he continued.

The ceremony was attended by the Commercial Counsellor of the Embassy of China to Laos, Mr Zhao Wenyu, the Telecommunications Department Director General, Mr Sayleusa Insichiengmay MKE CEO, Mr Li Liang Shuang along with village and district authorities.
