Mercedes-Benz drives sensual purity lifestyle
Mercedes-Benz Vietnam wowed audiences with its exclusive showcase at the recent annual Vietnam Motorshow, reinforcing its position as market leader in the premium car segment.
This year, the three-pointed star brand occupied the largest booth covering 630 square metres at Ho Chi Minh City’s Saigon Exhibition and Convention Centre (SECC). With the main theme of Sensual Purity, its black and white toned booths displayed monotone car models, based on a design concept inspired by Modern Luxury highlighted by S-Coupe with Swarovski crystals and the Burmester high-end surround system surface.
Mercedes-Benz Vietnam (MBV) presented 12 models at the 2014 Vietnam Motor Show, with the S500 4matic Coupe the main attraction at the 10th anniversary show thanks to its aesthetics, technology and quality. By launching the S500 4matic Coupe, the new GLA, the duo SL 400 2Look Edition and SLK 350 CarbonLook, MBV delivered on its commitment of “launching 19 new models” within this year.
“2014 has been a successful year for MBV with more than 50 per cent growth so far. We wanted to honour this momentum with an exclusive motorshow,” said Michael Behrens, MBV’s general director of Mercedes-Benz Vietnam.
The grand-performer from Mercedes-Benz was the S-Coupe, which was recognised by AutoScout, the largest online marketplace for cars in Europe, as the 2014 European ‘dream car’.
The S 500 4Matic Coupe embodies the Sensual Purity design language through its stunning rear-wheel-drive proportion with the hallmark dropping line, low greenhouse, high beltline and muscular accentuated wheel arches. Its striking signature is the 94 Swarovski crystals integrated onto the front ILS full-LED.
“The S-Class Coupe lives up to the claim ‘The best or nothing’ in every detail and in an exceptionally exclusive fashion: in terms of aesthetics, technology and quality. A brand ambassador par excellence,” claimed Dieter Zetsche, chairman of the Board of Management of Daimler AG and head of Mercedes-Benz Cars.
While the S 500 4Matic Coupe is a technology showcase of the three-pointed star brand, the new C-Class stands as the modern luxury symbol which was born to attract many different customer groups.
The new C-Class – in all aspects - is engineered to be the best car in its segment. For instance, it is the lightest due to the hybrid-aluminum frame, the sexiest with the Sensual Purity design language, and the fastest in terms of accelerating 0-100km/h in its displacement league. It also has the longest range of 1,200km with a full tank consuming only 5.3-5.6 litres/100km; it is the smartest with the ILS full-LED headlamp, the touchpad and the GPS navigation with the 3D integrated map of Vietnam.
“Our slogan ‘C the best for yourself’ has its own reasons. We proudly offer our customers the most valuable car in the segment with outstanding specifications and options,” said Dirk Adelmann, sales and marketing director of Mercedes-Benz Vietnam.
The fifth member of Mercedes-Benz SUV family, the new GLA is progressive in design, serene in day-to-day motoring and capable of driving off-road.
Meanwhile, the SL and the SLK are two sophisticated icons of the roadster world. These two icons presented their dynamism exclusivity at the booth of Mercedes-Benz under two limited variants: the SL 400 2Look Edition & the SLK 350 CarbonLook Edition.
The SL 400 2Look Edition is manufactured completely from aluminum resulting in the much lighter body as well as an agile driving experience. This roadster is entirely suitable for everyday use thanks to its retractable vario-roof and magic sky control function. This makes the SL the all-rounder amongst sports cars.
The SLK 350 CarbonLook Edition shows its sporty instinct via the AMG bodykit, the AMG 5-spoke light-alloy wheels in titanium grey, the dark surroundings for the headlights and the rollover protection bars with anodised aluminum.
Most impressively, more than 200 icons of sensual purity found their new homes right at the Vietnam Motorshow double last year’s figure.
