Zalora to open three showrooms in Vietnam

Online fashion retailer Zalora is reportedly opening three showrooms in Vietnam in the first quarter of 2015, according to Zalora Vietnam’s managing director Nguyen Phuong Anh.

Headquartered in Singapore, Zalora also operates in Malaysia, Brunei, Hong Kong, the Philippines, Thailand, Indonesia, Australia, and New Zealand. It is currently Vietnam’s leading online fashion destination with an average monthly growth rate of 20 per cent.

Zalora sells apparel, accessories, footwear and beauty products for women and men, primarily focusing on a female office workers aged between 25-35.

Its own branded products account for 50 per cent of its business in Vietnam. Zalora also has a wide collection of internationally well-known brands such as Mango and Rayban, which accounts for 20 per cent of products, while 30 per cent of products are made in Vietnam.

Zalora also offers a marketplace for independent fashion designers and sellers in Vietnam. It provides a virtual boutique where designers can update their fashion photos and set their own prices. Meanwhile Zalora supports the designers in terms of marketing, delivery, payments and returns.

Zalora.vn has about 200,000 visits per day with one million newsletter subscribers.

Nguyen Phuong Anh, managing director of Zalora Vietnam, said “Vietnamese prefer seeing and touching the products before making a final purchase, so Zalora is opening three more showrooms in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and Danang to improve our customer experience.”

The showrooms permit customers to see the newest products in the flesh products before they decide to purchase online.

According to Phuong Anh Nguyen the showrooms are part of the company’s attempts to build customer trust in ecommerce.

Especially, Zalora is joining hands with Elle to hold Elle Fashion Show Spring-Summer 2015 on November 13. For the first time the customers can purchase their favorites items from the collections online via www.zalora.vn/elle during the event.
