Viet Nam Farm Expo opens in HCM City

Domestic and international enterprises are showcasing their agricultural products at the Viet Nam Farm Expo 2014, which opened at Tan Binh Exhibition and Convention Center (TBECC) in HCM City on October 8.

The event features 170 booths which display key Vietnamese exports, including rice, tea and cashew nuts. VIETGAP- and GLOBAL GAP-certified products are also on display.

Pham Ngoc Hung, vice president of the city's business association, said the exposition would enable exhibitors and visitors to see the diversity of the country's agricultural products.

He added that the event also offered an opportunity for enterprises, producers and distributors to seek partners and introduce their latest technologies, as well as boost Viet Nam's agriculture development.

The city's business association and Dong Nam Commercial Promotion JSC organised the event, which runs until October 12.
