Confectionery firm inaugurates factory in Ha Noi

The Trang An Joint Stock Company inaugurated its confectionery factory in the Thach That – Quoc Oai Industrial Zone in Hanoi's Thach That District on October 8.

The VND180-billion (US$8.57 million) factory became operational after two years of construction.

Trinh Sy, General Director of Trang An, said that the new factory has a planned annual production capacity of 8,000 tonnes and is expected to supply its products to domestic and international markets.

Spreading over an area of 2.4 hectares, the factory will provide employment to 600 workers in the district, he added.

Trang An aims to earn VND620 billion ($29.5 million) in revenue and achieve a year-on-year increase of 15 per cent.

The factory has been constructed in the industrial zone following Ha Noi's policy of shifting factories in the city to its outskirts to reduce pressure on the city's infrastructure. Trang An's factory was earlier located in the Cau Giay District of Ha Noi.
