Vientiane New World, New Power of Asia

Vientiane New World Reservations Begin

Vientiane New world has begun taking reservations from international and domestic vendors who are interested in securing a store at what is slated to be the one of Vientiane’s most anticipated shopping places, where consumers can easily access various products all at one location.

Dozens of investors have reserved a store at Vientiane New World Plaza, with many local owners, foreigners residing in Laos and investors from other countries securing their own store.

This is the best time to invest in a shop as the price is reasonable, with major discounts being given. However, after the grand opening in October the price is set to increase, General Manager of CAMCE Investment (Lao) Co., Ltd, Mr Luke Lee said.

Mr Lee said the company was under a strong developer from China known as China CAMC Engineering Co., Ltd., which is also one of the Top 500 Global Enterprises.

He also told Vientiane Times the reason why Vientiane New World is a structure to be anticipated, what the supporting facilities are and which brands Vientiane New World will bring into Laos.
Internal or local reservations allow the domestic investor to submit a deposit of US$10,000 to reserve a shop that they like. If the investor pays this amount before the grand opening slated for mid-October, they will be reimbursed this amount once they purchase the shop.

The exact date for the grand opening will be confirmed by the media in the near future, with 100 shops to be released step by step.

Mr Lee said the two-storey or three-storey shops ranged from 140 square metres to 400 square metres and the would be able to fully meet the shop owners’ needs. The clients would also be able to apply for mortgage loans from the Lao-China Bank and RHB Bank.

Why invest in Vientiane New World

The location is one of the most important factors of commercial properties, Mr Lee said. Adding that, the location of Vientiane New World is along the Mekong River, which makes it unique and one of a kind. The structure is facing Thailand and is adjacent to the Chao Anouvong Park on the north.

Once Vientiane New World is complete, it is expected to be the core of the city.
Compared with other commercial properties, Vientiane New World has incomparable advantages. Firstly, the project is a city complex and it consists of pathways, a shopping centre, headquarter office buildings, hotels, serviced apartments and residential apartments with a courtyard.

Vientiane New World has something for everyone, with stand-alone stores and a shopping mall, as well as an international supermarket set to bring convenience and easy access to Vientiane shoppers.

Additionally, Vientiane New World will see more than 1,000 parking spaces under the shopping mall. Combined with other lots in the complex, there will be more than 1,500 parking spots in total.

The company has observed that there are many shopping malls in Vientiane, however, most of them have operation issues due to not having enough places for customers to park their cars.

The complex also has the longest property rights period of 90 years. Foreign investors are able to buy stores and receive a certificate of property rights. The company will also bring in a property management enterprise from Thailand, who will provide modern property services for merchants.

The company has provided pathways and pedestrian walking areas in three main function areas. These include the riverside food street, Lao cultural shopping street and a bar/club street.
There will be four main squares where people can seek entertainment and fully enjoy the different cultures to be provided at the complex.

After the opening, the company is also set to arrange a special marketing promotion at three out of the four major squares. People are able to come and organise a party or dance events for people to come and have a good time.
Mr Lee said, ‘Vientiane New World, for your good life’ was their slogan and people would not have to go to Thailand to seek amusements such as cinemas or large commercial shopping malls as Vientiane would now have it right at their doorstep.

The shopping mall itself is five-storeys, with two underground levels for parking. The first floor of the centre will be an international supermarket, while the second floor will have cosmetic goods, shoes and apparel et cetera. The third floor will also be selling audio and video products, games, as well as a cinema showing the latest blockbuster films.
Vientiane New World is located close to Wattay International Airport and with great access and convenient transportation.

Mr Lee said they also planned to bring in a famous international supermarket, which is coming along successfully. He believes that once the supermarket comes to Vientiane New World, other international brands would also follow suit. The supermarket is expected to see 50,000 people per day.
Adding that, “This will strengthen the investors’ confidence in our project.”

The management of the company has also hired an international property enterprise to help them manage the complex.

Mr Lee said, “They will take care of all leasing, consumer and businesses here to make them feel comfortable and ensure convenience.”

To consumers, Vientiane New World is not only a place for shopping, it is also a place of potential and experiencing a rich culture. The complex will inject vigour and vitality to Laos, as well as promote innovation and diversification in Vientiane businesses.
