Shares rise on both exchanges

Shares continued to rise in Ha Noi and reversed their losses in HCM City this morning.

On the Ha Noi Stock Exchange, the HNX-Index added 1.38 per cent to close at 89.76 points.

The value and volume of trade reached VND692.7 billion (US$32.6 million) and 48.7 million shares respectively.

The HNX30 Index, comprising the bourse's top 30 stocks, gained 1.52 per cent to end at 185.93 points.

On the HCM City Stock Exchange, the VN-Index closed at 640.47 points, up 0.28 per cent.

The VN30 Index also advanced by 0.48 per cent to finish at 680.85 points, with 18 gainers and just 5 losers among the 30 stocks that it tracks.

The trading value stayed high at VND1.7 trillion ($80.1 million) on a volume of 96.2 million shares.
