Sacombank sets aside $119m preferential loans for clients

 Sacombank has reserved VND2.5 trillion (US$119.05 million) in preferential loans for its business clients in a variety of lending areas.

The bank said it would offer an interest rate of seven per cent per annum within the first six months for domestic companies that borrow money between now and the end of this year.

Lending areas include imports and exports, agriculture, forestry and aquaculture, along with healthcare and pharmaceuticals, petroleum and transportation.

Also included are tourism, restaurants and hotels, as well as electronic components, chemicals, garments and footwear, and food and consumer goods.

This year, Sacombank launched 12 prefential loan packages worth nearly $980 million for enterprises. These included financing for market stabilisation and bank and business linking programmes.
