Malaysian company to provide mining survey service
The Commodity Club N.V, a Malaysian based company, is interested in offering survey services in the fields of energy, oil and gas, as well as mining industries through the world's latest technologies, the Satellite Thermovision Tomography (TVT).
The company has found a representative company in Laos to work with, as a centralised point from which to provide services in the country as well as the region.
Kilamsub Intertrade Company Limited, a Lao private company, signed a collaboration agreement with the Commodity Club N.V as a representative company base in Vientiane.
The agreement was signed by Kilamsub Intertrade Company Limited Chairman Mr Virasane Khamdaranikorn and President of the Commodity Club N.V Mr Ruslan Israpil in Vientiane on Wednesday.
The agreement ceremony was also witnessed by senior government officials from line ministries, company representatives and invited guests from the Embassies of Russia and Malaysia to Laos.
“Our company signed an agreement with the Commodity Club N.V as an authorised representative company in Laos that will provide innovative technology systems and solutions to customers in energy, oil and gas and mining industries by using satellite systems,” the company's Chai rman, Mr Virasane Khamdaranikorn, said.
He said the system was not only specialised for the mining sectors but it was also beneficial for the agricultural surveys.
“Normally the survey company takes much time to survey the mine queries, the survey personnel will carry a lot of items with them. For example, they will spend at least three years to complete a survey on one site but if TVT is being used for the survey it would only take a few months and also save money as well,” he said.
TVT can scan deep underground and it takes a short time to survey large areas, with the outcome also being more accurate.
“To use the system for surveying in Laos, our company is now consulting and discussing with the government bodies, especially the line ministries for further registration and approvals,” Mr Virasane said.
At the same gathering, the participants also observed the presentation about how the system worked and the presenters also educated the participants on the fact that TVT has been successfully used for surveys in different countries worldwide.
When the company receives an approval and permission for using satellite surveys in Laos, customers will also be able to consult with an authorised company for satellite survey services, Mr Virasane said.
“Customers will pay a small amount of money and save more time while surveying the mine site,” he added.
