VPBank offers preferential loans to SMEs

Viet Nam Prosperity Bank (VPBank) on July 21 launched two preferential loan packages worth VND4 trillion (US$190.48 million) for small – and medium-d enterprises (SMEs).

The first VND2 trillion ($95.2 million) package would fund SMEs with interest rates of 5 per cent for medium and long-term loans and 8.5 per cent in the first quarter for loans less than 12 months. The programme would end on September 30th for enterprises which need capital to expand production and business.

The remaining VND2 trillion package would reduce 2 per cent of the current interest rate for half the term of the loans but which is less than 6 months. Businesses could apply for the loan by the end of next month.
