Viet Nam, Israel to launch commercial committee

The Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) and the Israeli Embassy in Ha Noi will jointly launch the Viet Nam-Israel Commercial Committee on July 14, according to vir.com.vn.

An agricultural enterprise forum involving local and Israeli businesses will also be held. Four leading Israeli firms from the hi-tech agriculture industry, namely AgroTop, AquaMaof, BioBee and Green 2000, will be present along with local agricultural businesses from Ha Noi. The forum will be an opportunity for businesses from both countries to seek cooperation and learn from each other's experiences.

Israel is among the 25 countries having the highest per capita income in the world and also ranks high in terms of the productivity and quality of its agricultural products.

Viet Nam is an agricultural country, where 70 per cent of the population comprises farmers. Last year, the country ranked first in terms of the volume of rice exports. However, its farming methods are still less developed compared with other countries.
