Ten banks assist HCM City firms

Ten banks on Tuesday signed contracts to provide preferential loans totaling VND718 billion, or US$34.19 million, to over 30 businesses in HCM City's District 10.

The lenders included Sacombank, Vietinbank, Agribank and Vietcombank. Also, the other lenders included DongA Bank, ABBank, HDBank and MHB, as well as SCB and VID Public Bank.

Sacombank alone was committed to financing seven firms, with a fund of VND174 billion, or $8.29 million, and an interest rate of 7 per cent per year.

The contracts were signed at the local People's Committee headquarters and aimed at supporting production and business activities in the context that economic conditions remained tough.
