Taiwanese Chung Jye investor enters Hai Duong Province

The northern province of Hai Duong has granted an investment permit to the Chung Jye Vietnam Co Ltd, a Taiwanese investor specialising in producing footwear for export.

The US$13 million shoe project will cover nearly 77,757 square metres in Kim Thanh district. Once finished, the factory is expected to produce around 3.6 million products a year and generate jobs for 2,500 local labourers.

According to provincial officials, Hai Duong is sparing no effort in collaborating with ministries and agencies in investment promotion activities to lure funding from multinational and trans-national groups.
