Investors pledge over $856 million to Nghe An Province

A New Year meeting with investors, last week, helped the central province of Nghe An attract an additional VND18.227 trillion (US$856 million) in pledged capital from domestic and foreign investors.

At the meeting attended by representatives of almost 500 businesses, the provincial government signed nine investment agreements with a total pledged capital of some VND17 trillion ($809 million) and granted investment certificates for three projects worth VND1.3 trillion ($61 million).

The province is now home to 588 domestic projects, worth VND109.59 trillion ($5.21 billion), and 39 foreign ones, with a combined pledged capital of $1.49 billion. Many of these projects use advanced technology and operate efficiently.
