Phu My Hung, a destination of brilliant stars

A seminar for investment opportunities on commercial properties in Phu My Hung Township will be held on October 18, 2013. The seminar will take place at the Phu My Hung Gallery, Crescent Plaza, 105 Ton Dat Tien street, District 7, Ho Chi Minh City to attract more investors to this increasingly iconic new urban area.

Popular brand names have a voice

Phu My Hung is a destination of brilliant stars for established brand names.

Located in the south of the city, about 10 minutes driving from the downtown, Phu My Hung is already home to a vibrant expatriate community. The area has underscored its popularity through good infrastructure, architecture and urban planning.

The township is home to 86 housing projects with nearly 15,000 accommodation units of different types, spread over a total area of 2.5 million square metres. In addition, the site hosts more than 20 health facilities and 30 educational institutions.

In the past five years, Phu My Hung has attracted many established investors, with some projects valued in the hundreds of millions of US dollars. The town is home to 16 bank branches including ANZ, HSBC, Vietcombank, Vietinbank, Saigon Bank and Eximbank, together with 48 commercial outlets, including Toyota, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, the Lawrence S. Ting Building, Unilever Vietnam Head Office, Saigon Paragon, Nam Long Head Office, the Crescent Mall, Paragon, Thien Son Plaza, Vinamilk, Saigon Co-op Mart, Porsche, and the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Centre (SECC). Hundreds of companies also call the township home.

Phu My Hung also hosts dozens of restaurants, shops and entertainment facilities. Public utilities such as parks, public gardens and community facilities are also growing in tandem.

All these characteristics have provided Phu My Hung with a unique character, and almost half of its 25,000 population are foreign residents.

Potential for further development

In late 2013, the Adora - Premium development will be inaugurated as the first five-star banquet and conference facility in Phu My Hung. The Adora - Premium is the Dong Phuong Group’s third five-star project, underlining the Phu My Hung Development Corporation’s commitment to providing continually improved business and leisure facilities to local residents and businesses.

Phu My Hung is seen as a more attractive destination for increasing in residents, including high-income people.

The town’s location also adds to its attraction. Phu My Hung is traversed by the 18 km Nguyen Van Linh Boulevard combined with easy connections with the Mekong Delta provinces and the Southern Key Economic Zone. It also links well with Tan Thuan Export Processing Zone, Saigon South, and the surrounding provinces of Ba Ria-Vung Tau, Dong Nai and Long An. Just next to Phu My Hung is the Ho Chi Minh City’s Hiep Phuoc Port Urban Area development. The Hiep Phuoc Port Urban Area covers 3,912 hectares, and is designed to accommodate a population of 180,000 people by 2020. It will house the SPTC International Container Terminal, Saigon Phuoc Hiep Port, Hiep Phuoc New Port, and Long An International Port along the Soai Rap River.

Phu My Hung and Hiep Phuoc are set to become Ho Chi Minh City’s port and logistics hubs serving the whole of southern Vietnam.
