Vietnamese, Indonesian food firms meet

Up to 35 top Vietnamese and Indonesian food processors met in Jakarta, Indonesia, on Wednesday to seek co-operation chances to tap their massive market potentials.

At the event, Vietnamese Ambassador to Indonesia Nguyen Xuan Thuy noted momentums for bilateral co-operation, especially in economics, trade and investment, will be stronger in the near future.

Two-way trade in the past three consecutive years was remarkable, topping US$4.6 billion last year, he said. The two countries are working toward a value of $5 billion by 2015 and $10 billion by 2020, he stressed.
