The trade fair, this year titled ‘Laos-Thailand Sourcing and Business Matching 2013', will run from July 3-7 at Lao-ITECC in Vientiane.

It will provide business operators from the two neighbouring countries an opportunity to negotiate further trade cooperati on for the future.

About 300 booths will display a wide range of products, including automobile parts, construction materials, household items, clothes, educational equipment, food and health products and other industrial items.

Vocational training courses will also be offered throughout the fair for those interested in learning more about trade activities and products, such as some hand-made items.

A collaborative event between Thailand's Ministry of Commerce and the Lao Ministry of Industry and Commerce, the fair aims to promote trade relations between small and medium-d enterprises in the two countries.

According to a senior organiser, the fair will encourage Thai and Lao entrepreneurs to expand their markets in the lead-up to the emergence of the Asean Economic Community in 2015.
