Shares gain positively

Shares rebounded on both national stock exchanges during this July 6 morning's session.

On the Ha Noi Stock Exchange, the HNX-Index closed at 70.18 points, a 0.53 per cent advance compared to July 5 morning's trading.

Overall market value reached VND183.6 billion (US$8.7 million), increasing 18.9 per cent while trading volume fetched 22.4 million shares.

After the Ha Noi bourse yesterday announced the 30 largest stocks to be tracked by the HNX30, these stocks saw positive gains during this morning's session an included Asia Commercial Bank (ACB), Sai Gon – Ha Noi Bank (SHB), property developers IDJ (IDJ) and Sacomreal (SCR) and An Phat Plastics and Green Environment Co (AAA).

On the HCM City Stock Exchange, the VN-Index added 0.74 per cent to 416.89 points. Gainers outnumbered losers by 194-35.

The VN30, tracking the city's leading shares, also rose 0.83 per cent to 492.87 points.

The value of trades climbed 50.5 per cent over yesterday morning's level, totalling VND449.4 billion ($21.4 million) on a volume of 30.4 million shares.

Of the 30 shares tracked by the VN30, only HCM City Infrastructure Investment Co (CII) retreated. Others added value or closed unchanged, notably construction firm Sudico (SJS) hitting its daily increase limit of 5 per cent.
