AIA Vietnam expands footprint in Vietnam

From May 15 to 23, 2012, AIA Vietnam Life Insurance Company Limited (AIA Vietnam) officially opened four new general agency offices in two south-central Khanh Hoa and Phu Yen and two Mekong Delta’s Tien Giang and Soc Trang provinces.

Thus, parallel to investing in building customer-service centres in several provinces across Vietnam, the company continues to develop and expand its service network to better satisfy customers’ needs through its general agency office system.

This expansion plays an important role in AIA Vietnam’s sustainable development strategy as it offers more convenience to customers in approaching life insurance products and services.

“The general agency offices are one of the crucial links helping AIA Vietnam bring timely and efficient services to customers and agents in different locations. Besides, by establishing these offices, we would like to create more jobs to local residents who will have the opportunities to join AIA Vietnam’s professional agency force,” said AIA Vietnam’s CEO Stephen Clark.

With these four general agency offices starting operation, AIA Vietnam’s current operational network comprises over 50 offices throughout the country. Parallel to constantly ameliorating the service quality, the company has been introducing new products in order to better meet customer’s increasing and diversified needs.

On this occasion, AIA Vietnam granted hundreds of scholarships and sport equipments worth VND 110 million ($5,280) to help needy and studious pupils in these locations with better conditions to study and exercise.

AIA Vietnam is a wholly foreign-owned life insurer and a member of the AIA Group, the largest independent publicly listed pan-Asian life insurance group in the world.

AIA Vietnam officially started operations in Vietnam in February, 2000.

Today, 12 years after its inception, AIA Vietnam has grown to be a trusted brand in Vietnam with more than 400 staff members and about 15,000 agents. AIA Vietnam serves the holders of about 300,000 policies across the country. Until the end of 2011, AIA has paid out a total of more than VND921 billion ($44.2 million) for insurance benefits to nearly 141,000 cases.

The company has been highly recognised through honorable awards such as “Well-known brand”, “Golden Dragon” and “Certificate of Merit” from the Ministry of Finance for its outstanding contributions to the life insurance industry in Vietnam.
