Central Retail to invest $23 million in GO! shopping centre in Gia Lai

The project, scheduled to begin in the first quarter of 2027, covers nearly 15,000sq.m and has a total investment of more than VNĐ600 billion (US$23 million).

Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee on Monday granted an investment registration certificate to Viet Nhat Real Estate JSC, a member of Central Retail Việt Nam, for a GO! shopping centre project in the province.

The project covers nearly 15,000sq.m and has a total investment of more than VNĐ600 billion (US$23 million). Construction is scheduled to begin in the first quarter of 2027.

The shopping centre will include a GO! hypermarket offering more than 40,000 consumer products, while locally produced agricultural and OCOP products are expected to gain access to Central Retail’s nationwide retail network.

Olivier Langlet, CEO of Central Retail Việt Nam, said the investment certificate marked an important step towards implementing the project and reflected the group’s confidence in the local investment environment.

“We see this as a record in administrative procedures,” he said, adding that the process had been completed within a year of the group’s participation in Gia Lai’s investment promotion conference in September 2025.

The project is expected to create hundreds of direct and indirect jobs and expand distribution opportunities for agricultural products from Gia Lai and neighbouring provinces.

Central Retail has operated in Việt Nam since 2012 and currently runs more than 300 stores and shopping centres across 26 provinces and cities, employing about 13,500 people.
