Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications Group (VNPT) and Vietnam Rubber Industry Group (VRG) have signed a cooperation agreement to develop a new generation of digital industrial parks (IPs).

The agreement, signed on August 4 for the 2026-30 period, aims to combine VNPT’s digital infrastructure capabilities with VRG’s extensive land resources and industrial ecosystem to develop green, smart and modern IPs while expanding cooperation to overseas markets including Laos and Cambodia.

Under the agreement, VNPT will participate in consulting, designing and providing digital infrastructure solutions for existing and future industrial parks managed by VRG. The cooperation will cover telecommunications infrastructure, data centres, cybersecurity ecosystems, smart governance systems and digital workforce development.

The two groups will also coordinate to attract investment, develop clean energy solutions and optimise energy resources for industrial park infrastructure, high-tech agriculture projects, data centres and businesses operating within industrial zones.

VNPT Chairman Tô Dũng Thái said the partnership is expected to create new cooperation models among State-owned enterprises as science and technology, innovation and digital transformation become increasingly important drivers of economic growth.

The agreement is aligned with the Politburo’s Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW on breakthroughs in science and technology development, innovation and national digital transformation, as well as Resolution No. 79-NQ/TW on developing the State economic sector.

During the past seven years, VNPT has  supported VRG in deploying a range of digital platforms, including business intelligence (BI) reporting systems, GIS-based plantation management systems, cloud computing infrastructure, SmartCA digital signatures, security operation centres (SOC) and electronic office platforms.
