This order represents the first project secured by HD Hyundai Eco Vina since becoming part of HD Hyundai Group last year, marking a meaningful milestone that signals HD Hyundai Group’s full-scale entry into global market expansion with Việt Nam as a key production base.

The contract highlights HD Hyundai Eco Vina’s strong technical capabilities and proven project execution capacity.

SSIT is a deep seaport located in the south of Việt Nam, a joint venture between US-based SSA Marine Seattle. and two local partners, Sài Gòn Port and Việt Nam Marine Corporation, with its registered office in Phước Lộc Quarter, Tân Phước Ward in HCM City.

Under the project, HD Hyundai Eco Vina will undertake the full scope of work, including design, manufacturing, transportation, installation, commissioning, and technical delivery. This is expected to further demonstrate the company’s comprehensive project execution capabilities beyond equipment manufacturing.

The global port crane market continues to grow, driven by increasing maritime cargo volumes, expansion of port infrastructure, and the deployment of larger container vessels. In parallel, rising demand for port automation and operational efficiency is accelerating the need for high-performance, high-efficiency equipment.

Amid these market trends, HD Hyundai Group has been strengthening its global business foundation by leveraging HD Hyundai Samho, which possesses global-level competitiveness in the port crane market, along with HD Hyundai Eco Vina.

The company is utilizing this entity as a key production hub to expand its port crane business across Asia.

HD Hyundai Eco Vina has delivered more than 150 port cranes, while HD Hyundai Samho has secured over 250 global supply references. These accumulated capabilities and project experiences provide a strong competitive edge in winning large-scale projects.

Furthermore, HD Hyundai Eco Vina has built solid technical expertise and quality competitiveness in line with international standards through projects with leading terminal operators such as PSA Mumbai. These experiences are expected to serve as a critical foundation for future market expansion and additional project awards.

Building on this project, HD Hyundai Eco Vina plans to actively pursue additional business opportunities across key global markets, including Southeast Asia. The company aims to enhance customer responsiveness by leveraging its Vietnamese production base to ensure stable supply and strong project execution capabilities.

This order signals a new growth phase for HD Hyundai Group’s port equipment business, reinforcing its competitive edge in upcoming global project tenders.

HD Hyundai Ecovina shared that it plans to transform the site into a global manufacture centre specialising in liquefied natural gas (LNG) plant modules, ships, thermal power boilers, and port cranes that meet the tightening environmental regulations of the International Maritime Organization (IMO).
